I’m Swails, and I’m too cool for a first name (just kidding, you can definitely see my first name when you stalk my Instagram *hint, hint*.) I started this gig after realizing that I didn’t care about the ‘journalism’ part of my photojournalism goals, and now I get to do the part I truly love for some of the most amazing humans.
There are so many things I love about this job, but my favorite part is capturing your memories. My dream clients are those who love to laugh, won’t judge me for the abstract yoga poses I do to get the perfect shot, and don’t mind getting their shoes a little dirty. I’m constantly inspired by adventure, love stories, and the people I get to work with. Pair that with my full-time job of managing a vintage wedding venue in downtown Indy, and I definitely have the best line of work!
I aim to provide photos full of love, greenery, and warm tones. And have you seen how great golden hours are!? I’m based in Indianapolis, but will happily travel to the ends of the earth to capture your special moments.
